College Football provided us with one major upset last week (BYU over Wisconsin), and dominance from the usual suspects (Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State). We have some very intriguing match-ups this week, as teams start to get into conference play. Below are several interesting games for Week 4, with the opening spreads in bold, and the current number to the right of it.
Notable College Football Opening Point Spreads from BetOnline.ag:
Michigan State @ Indiana (+6.5, +4.5)
Notre Dame @ Wake Forest (+5.5, +7.5)
Stanford @ Oregon (-1.5, -1.5)
Florida @ Tennessee (+8, +5)
Mississippi State @ Kentucky (+9, +10.5)
Nebraska @ Michigan (N/A – Adrian Martinez)
Kansas State @ West Virginia (-14, -14.5-105)
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State (-14.5, +12-105)
TCU @ Texas (+2.5, +2.5)
Georgia @ Missouri (+10.5, +14.5-115)
Texas A&M @ Alabama (-27, 24.5)
Wisconsin @ Iowa (+6, +3.5)
Arizona State @ Washington (-18.5, -17.5)
*Michigan State opened 6.5-point road favorites, but were bet down to 3.5 within an hour of opening. This will be a huge road test for the Spartans, as Indiana is sure to be rocking for this night game.
*Tennessee has garnered plenty of early support for their matchup versus the Gators, dropping from +8 to +4.5. Florida “walked it off” last year, when Felipe Franks threw a hail mary to win the game. This is a tough stretch for Tennessee, with road trips to Georgia and Auburn, followed by Alabama. Can the Volunteer’s defense hold Florida in check?
*The Missouri Tigers opened a 10.5-point ‘dog, but there was movement towards the Bulldogs, as they jumped out to a 14-point road favorite. Missouri has started hot, a perfect 3-0 behind star QB Drew Lock. Can Georgia slow him down enough to cover this spread?
*Wisconsin, off their disappointing home loss to BYU, now travel to 3-0 Iowa, who has revenge on their mind after last year’s 38-14 beat down in Madison. This number opened 6 BetOnline.ag, and that may have been a bit high, as the rest of the market opened 3.5. Can the Badgers mentally rebound from their let-down last week?

*Philadelphia opens 7-point favorites as they host former OC Frank Reich and Andrew Luck off of a 21-9 road victory at Washington. With whispers of Carson Wentz returning, we may see this number adjust throughout the week based on information.
*In what should be one of the most important games of the week, the Saints roll into Atlanta off of an extremely fortunate victory over the Browns. Atlanta opened 2.5-point favorites, and it should be interesting to see which direction this number goes, as it’s critical to remember the value of the “3” in the NFL.
