You’ve been there before; getting back from vacation and the first few days back at work seem absolutely endless. You’re tired and you just want to clock out, get home, slip into your evening attire, and climb under the duvet. Do you really think professional athletes are any different from the rest of the human race? With that in mind, I’m always uneasy about placing large EPL bets on teams when they return from international break. The majority of teams have players coming back after extensive travel while on international duty for World Cup qualification. These qualifiers often see these young, rich stars visiting locations that take them well out of the bubble of prosperity that elite sportsmen live their lives in normally. In lieu of those contributing factors, I’m wary of betting too much on individual matches this weekend, so I’m keen on looking once more at long-term wagers that appeal to me.

Watford To Finish Top Ten
Although the current price of +175 is nowhere near as attractive as the +800 we logged a few weeks back, this still appears to be a solid bet. An upgrade in manager to Marco Silva this summer has certainly reaped rich rewards so far for the Hornets. During his years in management, Silva has gained a reputation as an excellent coach on home soil gaining great results with limited resources against superior opponents. His time at Watford has started slowly as they’re 0-2-1 at their Vicarage Road home. I’m convinced he will turn that home form around and once that’s done they should finish the season pushing for that top ten finish that cashes our ticket. Value seekers may want to wait, as they have Arsenal this Saturday and with Chelsea on deck, you might be able to grab a price north of +200 ten short days from now.
Huddersfield For Relegation
I cannot imagine a better start to the Terriers EPL debut campaign. A string of positive results and rave reviews in the media mask the fact that they sit just four points above the drop zone. The market price of +155 seems very generous considering last season they somehow managed to earn promotion with a negative goal differential. That feat is nearly impossible, and moving up to the top-level of English football was always going to be a challenge. Huddersfield scored less than sixty goals in the level beneath the EPL, and those frailties are already beginning to trouble them as they’ve netted just five times so far this season. Where their goals are going to come from? They face a big game at Swansea this weekend and their Welsh opponents usually perform well in this spot. The Terriers then play Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal within their next six games. Say no more to EPL inclusion!
Roy Hodgson Next Manager To Leave His Post
Have you ever taken a job and thought; “What The Fuck have I done, they didn’t tell me it was like this in the interview?” It may be a bit of a long shot at +1500, but with zero goals to show to their name so far this season, where can the Eagles go from here? The answer is usually only up, but maybe their season could completely implode like the Derby County campaign of 2007-08 when the Rams finished the season with just 11 points. Palace host Chelsea this weekend, followed by a tough trip to St James’ Park to play Newcastle before finishing the month at home in a London derby with West Ham. Their first game in November is away at Spurs so I defy anybody to say the spread of points gained from those four games should be higher than three. Roy could walk, or Palace could get yet another fire fighter in at Selhurst Park as they look to avoid the dreaded demotion from the cash cow that is the top flight in English football.
Manchester United To Win The EPL
In my opinion it’s a two-horse race for the EPL crown between the two big Manchester clubs with Spurs left out in the cold pressing their faces up against the window. The curtains will be shut in Spurs’ face around Easter time to leave City and United fighting it out for the title. Most two horses races are priced around +100 at BetOnline.AG, but this is the strangest two-horse race you’ll ever see priced. Presently you can back United at +350. This number is pure nonsense based on City hammering a bunch of second-rate EPL fodder who once falling behind couldn’t cope with their stylish brand of ball retention football. Titles aren’t won in September and October when the weather is hospitable and when teams lay down for you. They are won in the cold winter months when wins are hard-fought though blood, sweat and tears. City may eventually win the title but we’ve seen this type of over-reaction before by the books. You will have the chance to hedge a ticket purchased on United plenty of times before the season is over.
