Bumping, banging, and trading paint is what we have to look forward to this weekend at Martinsville for the final elimination race of the season. Joey Logano remains the only driver safe from the chaos by virtue of his win at Las Vegas two weeks ago however there are still three spots in Phoenix up for grabs among the remaining seven playoff drivers. Kyle Larson unloaded a dominant hot rod last weekend at Homestead; leading more than 70% of laps en route to his first win at the Miami race track. While the 5 machine won’t play a role in deciding this year’s series champion; his win bunched up the field of playoff drivers.

(As you can tell from the leading image we were optimistic Alex Bowman would return but that will have to wait until Phoenix)

Chris and Todd provided an extensive deep dive; resetting the playoff field including an in-depth look at where they did (or didn’t) see championship value before the Cup Series to Phoenix.
