Joey Logano reminded us yet again last Sunday of his racing pedigree using a late pass of Ross Chastain to become the first driver officially locked into the Championship 4 at Phoenix in early November.

However it wasn’t just the playoff drivers creating storylines at Las Vegas. NASCAR Cup Champion Kyle Larson found himself in a bit of a scuffle with Bubba Wallace after an on track incident took both of them out of the race and collected playoff driver Christopher Bell as collateral damage. Bubba was later issued a 1 race suspension given all the focus on driver safety we’ve seen emerge in the past few weeks
