There’s nothing at Wynn (or Encore) that fails to perfectly embody high-end luxury.  The steakhouse carrying the proprietor’s name delivers on every front including it’s location adjacent to Parasol down right on the waterfall lagoon (not sure of the technical name).  If you’re rolling through with a date definitely request a table with a view but if you’re there with the guys don’t worry the classy ambiance won’t ruin the ‘bro feel’.  Truth be told there’s some history here for Bet the Board as well; it’s where the podcast idea went from just a brain child to something real and spectacular.

Can’t miss items: King Crab Soup, Yellowfin Tuna Tartare, Bone in Rib Eye (add Parmesan creamed spinach)

Golden Steer Steakhouse

If you’re looking for that old school “might get whacked” type restaurant this is the joint for you.  Adjacent to the brand new Lucky Dragon Casino this iconic Vegas restaurant has served some of the city’s biggest names since 1958.  The nice part about dining here is it’s just a short cab ride from the center strip (walking distance from SLS).  Don’t dress like a bozo when headed here for the ultimate dude’s dining experience from the classy bar to the old school red leather booths complete with historic Vegas photos plastered all over the walls this is exactly what your grand dad’s Vegas felt like.

Can’t miss items: Tableside Caesar Salad, Chateaubriand for Two, Bananas Foster

Craftsteak

Nestled in the heart of MGM’s restaurant row, Tom Collichio’s restaurant is a modern steakhouse where food or vibe never disappoints.  Whether you prefer the bar or main dining room you can count on the perfect signature cocktail to accompany your choice in meat.  Should you be in the mood for something lighter just grab an adult beverage at the bar to watch talent flow through the grand.  If you properly time your visit to Las Vegas there’s a high probability you can catch a glimpse of the elusive Payneinsider.

Can’t miss items: Two Smoking Barrels (cocktail), Hand Cut Waygu Tartare, 8oz Waygu Filet, Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake

Carnevino

The Italian steakhouse inside the Palazzo provides the perfect blend of top chops and Italian specialties.  We’d call this one of the more high roller type steakhouses where no cut of meat, regardless of preference, leaves diners disappointed.  For us this provides an outstanding option if your with a group that can’t make a decision between steak or Italian after a long day in the sportsbook, because even the most veteran Bet the Board listeners work up an appetite cashing tickets.

Can’t miss items: Grilled octopus, T-bone pork chop, Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare

Del Friscos

To enjoy this meal you’ll have to take a short ride off the strip and arrive at a more reasonably priced (relatively speaking) high-end steakhouses.  The atmosphere in here is top shelf from an underrated bar set-up to live music or the private dining rooms delivering that secluded feel for inappropriate guy centric conversations.  This restaurant does come with a caveat; it’s exclusive to Vegas so we did struggle with its inclusion on the list but the meal never disappoints.

Can’t miss items: Seared Rare Waygu Beef Carpaccio, Bone in Filet / Prime Strip, Potatoes Au Gratin

Honorable mentions: Fix, Mesa Grill, Jean Georges
